Our Verdict
The Times Gate serves as a unique fusion of desk clock and digital art display that instantly upgrades the vibe of a gaming setup. I tested this device over the course of a week to see if its aesthetic appeal matched its functionality as a smart, internet-connected decor piece.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality feels substantial, with a sleek, modern chassis that perfectly encapsulates the cyberpunk theme. Its five independent LCD displays are crisp and vibrant, capable of rendering smooth pixel art animations without any noticeable ghosting or lag.
Day-to-Day Experience
Setting up the device via the Divoom smart app was incredibly straightforward, and the WiFi connectivity ensured my time and notifications were always accurate. Navigating through different pixel art presets and syncing calendars felt intuitive, making the learning curve non-existent for anyone familiar with smart home devices.
This is a must-have for PC gamers and streamers who want a highly customizable, futuristic desk accessory to level up their background aesthetic.
Final Thoughts
The Times Gate is a standout piece of desk tech that earns a perfect 5/5 rating for its seamless integration and striking design. While $199 is a premium price, the ability to personalize your workspace with such high-fidelity pixel art makes it a worthy addition to any modern gaming room.
